Friday Collection Moves To Wednesday Collection Starting The Week Of February 29th 2016

The Watertown Solid Waste Department announces that starting on the week of February 29th 2016, residents on the Friday solid waste collection route will make the leap to Wednesday weekly collection.

There will no longer be a regular weekly solid waste collection route on Friday. Residents on the Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday route will remain on their respective weekly day of collection.

Temporary Sump Pump Variance

As of October 15th, any home or business that needs to continue operating a sump pump discharging clear water may request a variance to discharge to the sanitary sewer. The temporary variance is from October 15th to April 15th.

Applications for a written variance may be made via the City’s website at http://watertownsd.us/variance. Applicants without internet access may apply for a variance by calling the Wastewater Treatment Facility at 882-6244.
