Engine 1 responds to a gas leak at 1030 13th St SW. The gas line of a mobile home was hit by a lawn mower and broke the line for the home. WFR, WPD, and Municipal Utilities responded, the leak was controlled.

Vehicle Fire at Riverside Park

Unoccupied vehicle on fire reported by public at Riverside Park this morning at 8 a.m.

Engine 3 and crew arrived to find the unoccupied vehicle ablaze. Crew extinguished the vehicle fire quickly. The fire was confined to the engine compartment. However damage was catastrophic to the vehicles engine.

Watertown Fire Rescue would like to inform the citizens that the City of Watertown recently replaced all the early warning sirens. The Federal Signal 2001 Series siren is a high power, rotating, uni-directional outdoor warning siren.

The high-decibel output provides maximum coverage. The new Federal Signal system has 3 distinct warning signals: steady, wail, and wail fast. The new system will not have a pre-warning voice like the old system had.
