WFR responds to vehicle fire

Watertown Fire Rescue responded to the 1700 block of 7th St NE for a vehicle fire in the middle of the street. On scene fire crews found a 2000 Ford Focus that had caught fire in the garage of the residence. The homeowner had pushed the car into the street where the fire self extinguished. Fire crews used a water extinguisher to cool remaining hot spots. The fire started in the dash on the passenger side and appeared to have started from the blower motor. No injuries were reported. WFR would like to remind residents to keep vehicles out of garages when running.
