WFR responds to trailer house fire

At 1:07pm on 3/7/17 WFR was called to a trailer house fire at 1405 11th Ave SW. Upon arrival crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the mechanical area of the trailer. Crews were hampered by high winds but were able to knock down the flames. WFR was on scene for approx 2 hours extinguishing the fire. There were no injuries and the occupant of the trailer was able to make it out safely. The trailer was considered a total loss. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. WFR would like to remind residents that daylight saving time is approaching so it is time to change the batteries in all your homes smoke detectors.
