Public Education and Outreach Program

The goal of the City of Watertown’s Public Education and Outreach Program is to improve local understanding of the reasons why storm water quality problems exist.

Activities conducted by the City of Watertown to achieve this goal include:

•    P articipation in the state-wide Stormwater Alliance Public Education program

•      Assist and help staff coordinate local presentations including the Big Sioux Water Festival, Water Fest at Bramble Park Zoo , Upper Big Sioux River Watershed Project  programs as well as others

•    Air educational programs on local government cable channel, release radio PSAs, and billboard advertising on stormwater related topics
