Children's Programming 

Story Time
Story time programs aim to instill a love of reading by encouraging parents and other special adults to read aloud to children.   Activities in story time promote brain and language development for children from birth to age 5. At story time, children and caregivers are introduced to five early literacy skills that are essential for learning to read including phonological awareness, vocabulary, letter knowledge, print awareness, and background knowledge. Remember: Sing, Talk, Play, Write, READ!

Lego Club - Thursday, January 14th 3:30p.m. - 5:30pm.
**New Day and Time** Drop in any time after school from 3:30p.m. - 5:30p.m. and join our Lego Club! Come show off your building skills or try your hand at something new! We will put the finished items on display until our next meeting. We are always looking for more Legos to use in our programming, if you would like to donate, please drop off your Legos at the front desk.

Lego Club - Friday, January 22nd 1:00 - 3:00pm.
Looking for some fun during your afternoon off from school? Drop in any time from 1:00p.m. - 3:00p.m. and join our Lego Club! Come show off your building skills or try your hand at something new! We will put the finished items on display until our next meeting. We are always looking for more Legos to use in our programming, if you would like to donate, please drop off your Legos at the front desk.

Tween Book Club - Friday, January 22nd 4:00pm.
Check out our new book club for tweens, ages 9-12! Help us choose the books to read, enjoy some snacks, and get to know each other! Registration required. Stop at the desk to register, or call us at 882-6220.  January's book is Suzanne Collins's "Gregor the Overlander" that can be picked up at the front desk. 
 
National Puzzle Day - Friday, January 29th 1:00 - 6:00pm
Calling all Kids! Drop in any anytime  from 1:00pm - 6:00pm to celebrate National Puzzle Day! Puzzles for all ages will be available to piece together throughout the afternoon. 

February 2016

Kid's Crochet - Tuesdays in February - 4:00 - 5:00p.m.
Join us to learn how to crochet and then how to make a hat! We’ll start with basic stitches, then move along to the hat pattern, and have time to work on the hats all together! Recommended for ages 7 and up. This program is free, and all materials are provided, but space is limited.  Register Here! or join the Wait List if the class is full.

Coraline Movie - Friday, February 12th 3:30p.m.

Join us to watch the movie based upon the book by Neil Gaiman.  The Tween Book Club discussed this book in November of 2015.  Coraline is rated PG and 100 minutes long.
