The Watertown Regional Library welcomes patrons of all ages, but its staff may focus additional attention on the safety and welfare of patrons who have not yet reached the age of majority.
The Watertown Regional Library expects parents or guardians of minor children to monitor their children at all times while in the Library. However, in the event a staff member discovers a child unattended by an adult or guardian, steps may be taken in an effort to ensure the child’s welfare and safety. Such measures may include, but are not limited to, contacting a parent or guardian or notifying local law enforcement on the child’s behalf. While the staff of the Watertown Regional Library wants every visit to the library to be an enjoyable one, when deemed appropriate, they may temporarily interrupt a visit to ensure the safety of its patrons.
