The Dog Park is open and free to enjoy from dawn to dusk 7 days a week. The completely fenced off area is broken into two sections: One for smaller dogs and the second for larger sporting dogs. The entrance is off the parking lot on the North side of the community gardens.
Dog Park Rules
Large Dogs – 20 lbs. & over – Use South Area, Small Dogs – under 20 lbs. – Use North Area.
Dogs must be accompanied by their owner/handler & kept under control at all times.
An individual is limited to 2 dogs in the Dog Park.
Dogs must remain in designated area.
Dogs less than six (6) months old are prohibited.
Dogs with a propensity for violence or aggression are prohibited.
Dogs that are ill or in heat are prohibited.
Owners/handlers must not allow their dogs to dig holes.
Children under age 16 are not allowed in park unless accompanied by an adult.
No food of any kind allowed.
Each owner/handler is legally & financially responsible for their dogs’ action.
In addition, the following city ordinance provisions will be enforced:
Responsibility to clean up any fecal matter left by dogs (3.0110);
Dogs must display current license and rabies vaccination (3.0401)
