Story Time

Story time programs aim to instill a love of reading by encouraging parents and other special adults to read aloud to children.   Activities in story time promote brain and language development for children from birth to age 5. At story time, children and caregivers are introduced to five early literacy skills that are essential for learning to read including
phonological awareness, vocabulary, letter knowledge, print awareness, and background knowledge.
Remember: Sing, Talk, Play, Write, READ!

Music & Movement Mondays
Exposing children to music during early development helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words. Dancing to music helps children build motor skills while allowing them to practice self-expression. For children and adults, music helps strengthen memory skills.
