[ARCHIVED] Snow Removal Plan for December 1st & 2nd, 2015

The City of Watertown received more than 2 inches of snow accumulation on December 1st, 2015. As a result, the Watertown Street Department will be plowing today.

On Tuesday, December 1st, 2015 the Watertown Street Department will be plowing Avenues.

On Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015 beginning at 2:00 am the Uptown area will be plowed followed by streets.

Streets are plowed on: Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Avenues are plowed on: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

The entire Uptown area to include Streets and Avenues is cleaned at the same time whenever we receive over 2” of snow. This area is well signed and vehicles in this area are subject to immediate ticketing and towing.

Parking on streets, avenues or snow routes during the days they are scheduled to be plowed will result in a $40 fine (fine doubles to $80 if not paid in 3 days).

Please assist us by not parking on the roadways during the time that roadway is scheduled to be plowed.
Officers will do same day ticketing of vehicles blocking the snow plows from clearing the city’s streets and avenues. If the obstructing vehicles remain on the street longer than 24 hours after being plowed around, it will be towed at the expense of the owner.

There is also a fine for blowing snow into the street from a driveway or sidewalk.
