The City of Watertown received more than 2 inches of snow accumulation on February 14th, 2016. As a result, the Watertown Street Department will be plowing today.
On Sunday, February 14th, 2016 the Watertown Street Department will be plowing highways 212, 81 and 20 and emergency snow routes.
Streets are plowed on: Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Avenues are plowed on: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
Parking on streets, avenues or snow routes during the days they are scheduled to be plowed will result in a $40 fine (fine doubles to $80 if not paid in 3 days).
Please assist us by not parking on the roadways during the time that roadway is scheduled to be plowed.
Officers will do same day ticketing of vehicles blocking the snow plows from clearing the city’s streets and avenues. If the obstructing vehicles remain on the street longer than 24 hours after being plowed around, it will be towed at the expense of the owner.
There is also a fine for blowing snow into the street from a driveway or sidewalk.
