Household Hazardous Waste Event

Wastewater Treatment Facility
South of Sears and southwest of the Watertown Mall

Saturday April 26th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon

This is an opportunity for area residents to dispose of unwanted residential hazardous items free of charge in an environmentally friendly manner. This event is for the disposal of residential hazardous waste only. Commercial or industrial waste is not accepted.

Bring any products labeled:
Caution Pesticide Danger
Flammable Combustible Poison
Corrosive Reactive Warning
Toxic

Examples of ACCEPTABLE ITEMS:
Aerosols Oven Cleaners Mercury/Products Containing Mercury
Bathroom/Drain Cleaners Fluorescent Bulbs Compact Fluorescent Bulbs
Fuels (Gasoline & Kerosene) Degreasers Auto Repair Products
Weed Killers Pool Chemicals Bug & Rodent Sprays & Killers
Oil Based Paints Roofing Tars Oil Based Products
Wood Preservatives Spot Removers Disinfectants
Concrete Cleaners Mothballs Lithium & NiCad Batteries

Examples of UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS:
Commercial Waste Medical Waste Computer Equipment
Industrial Waste Radioactive Waste TVs - VCRs
Explosives Used Oil Copiers, Phones and Faxes
Latex Paint Used Antifreeze Printers and Scanners
Asbestos Ammunition Video Game Systems
Lead Acid (car) Batteries Tires Household Batteries

Please help preserve the environment and your landfill by taking the time to attend this event and dispose of your residential hazardous wastes for free!
