WFR responds to a one vehicle rollover

Rollover Accident

Watertown Fire Rescue crews were called out to a rollover accident just before 11:30 AM at 166th St and 459th Ave today May 22nd, 2019. On arrival crews found a full size pickup on its driver's side in the ditch. The vehicle was occupied by a single person. That person was helped out of the vehicle and transported with minor injuries to Prairie Lakes Hospital via a WFR ambulance. The contributing factor in the accident appears to be the soft over saturated gravel roads. Fire crews remained on scene until the vehicle could be up righted and towed away. Watertown Fire Rescue was assisted on scene by Codington County Sheriff Deputies and a local tow company. WFR would like to remind drivers if you have to drive on wet and soggy gravel roads to remain in middle of the road and reduce your speeds, when approaching another vehicle or a hill slow down and move to the right with care.
