On Friday May 31st, 2019 at approximately 0933 AM, Watertown Police Officers were dispatched to a report of a car versus motorcycle hit and run crash in the 1100 block of 9th Ave SE.

An eastbound tan Buick passenger car merged left and into the lane of the motorcycle, colliding into its crash-bar. The motorcycle was a 2013 Harley Davidson FLHX operated by Matthew Routh. The collision caused the motorcycle to lose control and crash in the roadway. The operator sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital by WFR Ambulance.

The run vehicle and driver have not been identified at this time. The driver was described as an elderly female. Witnesses indicated that the driver may not have been aware of the crash.

The crash is under investigation.
