Watertown Fire Rescue responded to a 3 vehicle accident Tuesday night. The accident occurred on Highway 212, about 9 miles west of Watertown, at highway speed.  There were 3 vehicles involved.  2 of the vehicles were traveling eastbound, and the 3rd was traveling westbound.  It appears the westbound vehicle initially struck a boat that was being towed by another vehicle, then struck yet another vehicle.  2 of the vehicles ended up in the south ditch with heavy damage, with airbags being deployed in each of them.  1 patient was transported to Prairie Lakes Hospital via a Watertown Fire Ambulance crew.  The fire department responded with 2 vehicles, including an ambulance and a rescue truck, and 4 personnel.  Also responding to the accident was the South Dakota Highway Patrol and the Codington County Sheriff Department.
