[ARCHIVED] Watertown Fire Rescue Responds to Multiple Calls


Watertown Fire Rescue responded to multiple calls Thursday.  At 315pm Units were called to a two vehicle accident at intersection of East 212 and 12th Street. WFR cleaned up debris and a small amount of antifreeze, there were no injuries in the accident.  At 515pm crews were dispatched to a multi-vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy 20 and 212.  There were no reported injuries in this accident and crews cleaned up debris and some leaked fluids.

At 607pm crews were dispatched to down power-lines on fire.  The wind caused power-lines to break and fall near 4th Ave and 7th Street SW.  There was no involvement of any buildings, WFR crews blocked the roadway until Watertown Municipal Utilities were able to respond and control power. Crews were on scene for nearly an hour.

At 833pm crews were called to a gas smell in a residence at 805 11th Ave NW.  Firefighters investigated the area and were unable to find any source of gas.  Watertown Municipal Utilities was called to investigate as well.  Crews were on scene for about 20 minutes.
