Watertown Fire Rescue was dispatched to 603 2nd St in Henry for a report of smoke coming from the chimney and eaves of the residence. On scene fire crews found a 2 story house with an attached garage with light colored smoke coming from the 2nd floor windows, eaves and attic vent. Fire crews made entry into the residence encountering heavy smoke down to the floor. The initial fire was located in the dining room which was quickly knocked down. The initial fire had extended up into the 2nd floor which fire crews were again able to quickly knock down. Positive pressure ventilation was used to aid in clearing smoke from the residence to aid in extinguishing the fire. No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. Watertown Fire Rescue was on scene for approximately 3 hours. Watertown Fire Rescue would like to thank the Henry Fire Department for their assistance.
