On 10-31-19 at 10:33a.m. WFR was called to a 2 vehicle crash that needed the use of the Jaws of life. WFR responded to the intersection of 164th St. and Sioux Conifer Rd. with rescue 51 and Medic 3. A pickup and car were found with major front end damage to both. The car went into the ditch knocking over a street sign. The driver of a mid-sized car was trapped do to the extensive damage. The Jaws were used to extricate that Driver. He was transported to Prairie Lakes Hospital with undisclosed injuries. The driver of the pickup was checked out by medics with minor injuries. WFR was assisted by Codington County sheriffs, HWY Patrol, and Performance towing.
