Once inside the house crews quickly found the fire in the basement of the house. The fire was extinguished and damage was limited to the room of origin. Fire crews also rescued 3 pets inside the home. The home did suffer some smoke and water damage but fire was limited to one room in the basement. The occupant of the house was transported to Prairie Lakes Hospital for further evaluation. Crews were on scene for approximately 1 hour.
