On Tuesday January 19th at approximately 10 pm Watertown Fire Rescue received a call for a barn fire at 17263 450th Ave, which is southwest of Watertown. When crews arrived on scene they found a fully engulfed barn in which most of the roof had already collapsed in. Watertown Fire Rescue protected nearby exposures. Watertown Fire Rescue responded with an Engine and a Tender. Watertown Fire Rescue was on scene for about 4 hours. Watertown Fire Rescue was assisted on scene by Codington Clark Electric and Codington County Sheriffs Office. The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time and there were no reported injuries.
