On 11-4-21 at approximately 3:00 pm, the Watertown Police Department conducted tobacco compliance checks.  The following businesses passed the compliance checks; I-29 Shell and Casey’s on 19th St. 

Businesses that did not pass the compliance check and provided tobacco products to someone under 21 years of age were County Fair Foods, Stones Truck Stop, and Dakota Tobacco. The clerks who sold the products were issued a citation for providing tobacco products to someone under 21. 

The Watertown Police Department would like to remind local retailers the legal age to purchase or possess tobacco products is 21.
