Watertown Fire Rescue was dispatched to 100 block of 7th Ave NE following a report of smoke coming from a residential building. Upon arrival, crews found a two-story multi-family home under renovation. All occupants and workers had safely exited the building prior to arrival.
An investigation determined the smoke originated from a small heat source near an exterior air conditioning unit. Crews identified and extinguished a minor hot spot, with no fire extension found inside the structure.
The situation was quickly contained, and no injuries were reported. The homeowner was notified, and the scene was cleared without further incident.
