Watertown Firefighters respond to grass fire.

Approximately 5:50PM Sunday, Watertown firefighters respond to a small fire in the grass along I-29. Firefighters were dispatched for a fire along I29 near mile marker 177 in the west ditch. Three firefighters and two brush trucks responded to the area between mile marker 180 and 179 where a small area approximately 125 feet by 15 feet of the west ditch was actively burning. Crew quickly extinguished the flames and wet down the hot areas. Crew was on scene for approximately 10 minutes.
