Watertown Fire Rescue Responds to Glacial Lakes Energy for a Dryer Fire

On 05/09/2022 at approximately 7:00 pm, Watertown Fire Rescue received a call for an alarm at Glacial Lakes Energy.  While responding to the scene, fire units noticed smoke in the area of the plant.  Upon arrival crews found heavy smoke coming from the dryer building.  Watertown firefighters pulled multiple handlines for fire attack.  Crews also used positive pressure fans to help clear the smoke from the structure.  Watertown Fire Rescue crews, in conjunction with crews from Glacial Lakes Energy, were able to contain the fire to one of the dryer units.  Watertown Fire Rescue crews remained on scene for approximately two and a half hours.  Watertown Fire Rescue responded with two Engines, one ambulance, and 3 command vehicles.  No injuries were reported.
