WFR provides mutual aid for a dairy darn collapse in Grant County


Just after 5:00 pm on 09/12/2022, Watertown Fire Rescue was requested for mutual aid by Summit Fire Department who was on scene of a dairy barn collapse with multiple victims needing medical care. Watertown Fire Rescue sent 1 ALS ambulance and 1 Rescue truck. On arrival WFR helped establish triage and transport of patients. A total of 10 patients were transported to area hospital including Watertown, Milbank, and Webster. One patient had critical injuries and the remaining patients were in stable condition. Ambulances from Watertown, Milbank, Ortonville, Sisseton, Rosholt, and Webster were used to transport patients. Any further press releases will come from Grant County Emergency Management who has taken command of the incident.
